Welcome to the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC), the premier purchasing consortium for New England educational organizations. MHEC membership is open to all public and private institutions of higher education, municipalities including elementary and secondary schools and not for profit technical, vocational, charter schools and educational organizations throughout Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. MHEC’s goal is to help our members achieve cost savings and create administrative efficiencies by aggregating spend volume and negotiating highly competitive contracts.

MHEC procurement professionals have over 100 years of purchasing experience and our solicitations are conducted consistent with public procurement requirements. There are currently 57 contracts available to members with almost 500 qualified, supply partners, including global corporations, New England based companies and small, minority and women owned businesses based in our local communities.
